Music Programmes
The SMPAA Music Curriculum is focused on four-aspects of learning:
- Building a strong technical and theoretical foundation.
- Applying learned techniques and theories to different genres of music.
- Encouraging creativity through the exploration of improvisation and composition.
- Encouraging performance to showcase learned skills.
Students begin with age-and-level-appropriate syllabi in preparation for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) programmes and the Trinity College London (Trinity) programmes, where students will have the option of specializing in classical and jazz, or rock and pop genres.
